Languages of Architectural Form -建築の形態言語

一般的に現代建築は性能や効率が重視される。よって機能主義が善とされ、装飾的発想は追いやられてきた。
私が装飾として付加したモチーフは儀礼的だったり神聖的といった大仰なものではない。簡素で自然なものです。
形を誰もが理解できるためには建築の古典より借りることが良い。これであれば共通の感性を呼び覚まし、空間イメージを共有することができる。形は精神に帰結する。

"Languages of Architectural Form"

Generally, modern architecture places emphasis on performance and efficiency. As a result, functionalism has been considered good, and decorative ideas have been pushed aside.
The motifs I added as ornament are not ostentatious, ceremonial, or sacred. They are simple and natural. These ornaments are not a metaphors or have any message.
For the form to be understandable to everyone, it is good to borrow from classic architecture. This will evoke common memories and allow everyone to share a common image of the space. Form is the result of spirit.
